Sculpture

Gods and monsters, and everything between, boisterous, full of mischief and energy. My sculptures are my own, dragged kicking and screaming from my imagination. I capture on paper, then release them in stone and steel

I'm interested in the form hidden in the block, not in the beauty of the stone itself. Used sparingly the use of steel and colour is integral to some pieces, it conveys elements that I would otherwise not be able to realise in stone itself, as can be seen in my sketches.

Drawings and models are important but are means to an end. The realisation of the piece really happens towards the end of the journey, it evolves during the process. I never copy or replicate an idea from a model directly.
